PC Time Clock
Computerized time clocks are great not only because they are easy to use, but because they eliminate hours of work from your already busy schedule. No longer do you have to calculate everyone's hours by hand. Using a time clock program like ShopClock will let you print out and calculate time easily, every single pay period.
ShopClock does more than simply allow employees to punch in or out. You can also check the number of hours your employees have worked each pay period, and look at a summary of their gross pay as well. This information is password protected, and only available to administrators to protect the confidentiality of each employee.
Dealing with the Problem of Overtime
Other time clock programs may have difficulty correctly calculating overtime when a work week is shared by two pay periods. For example, your work week may go from Sunday to Sunday (as is required by law in many states) yet your pay period may be monthly or semimonthly. ShopClock easily handles overtime calculations in these cases, and its Pay Period Processing Report tells managers exactly when someone has earned overtime, and just how much has been accrued. Even more important, the Time Clock Summary at the bottom of the time card tells employees when they are about to accrue overtime so they can get it authorized before it happens.
ShopClock works well on its own, but we've made it compatible with two powerful software suites we're sure you use. Importing and exporting ShopClock's data is simple--you can plug all of your pay period data into either QuickBooks or Microsoft Excel. With ShopClock, it's no longer necessary to spend tedious hours re-entering all of that information.
